STANDARD 2: STUDENT LEARNING, GROWTH, AND DEVELOPMENT

  • The teacher candidate understands how students learn, develop, and differ in their approaches to learning. The teacher candidate provides learning opportunities that are adapted to diverse learners and support the intellectual, social, and personal development of all students.

Alignment to Standard: 

  • This artifact demonstrates alignment with Standard 2, reflecting my understanding of the diverse ways in which students learn, develop, and approach learning. It also highlights my ability to adapt instructional strategies to support the intellectual, social, and personal growth of all learners.

Reflection: 

  • I have included a photograph illustrating the daily arrangement of my classroom. Each student’s seat is marked with a name dot, and I have organized seating to accommodate their individual needs. For students requiring assistive technology (AT) devices, I have positioned them near their seats to ensure easy access. Additionally, for students who benefit from PODs or other visual communication supports, I have placed these resources to facilitate effective communication of their needs and desires throughout the day.
