Philosophy of Education: Click Here

 Description:

  • The “Philosophy of Education” paper serves as a representation of my ambitions as a future educator. I selected this paper to embody my sense of purpose, as it captures the values and goals I have established for my teaching practice.

Goals:

1.) I want to always refer back to my Philosophy of Education either to correct myself or discern values I no longer engage with.

2.)I want to be a reliable and trusted educator who keeps students at the forefront of her teaching philosophy, as I stated in my paper.

Reflection:

  • Regularly participating in professional workshops and exploring diverse philosophies will broaden my perspective. Each new group of students, with their unique qualities, will inspire me to continuously evolve as an educator and discover innovative ways to support them in achieving their goals.

How do my ethics line up to the MEES Standards?

  • 06: My values emphasize the importance of collaboration and communication. As an educator, I believe these qualities are essential in bridging gaps for our students. By fostering strong connections with parents, fellow teachers, and school staff, we can better support our students’ growth and success.
  • 08: My artifact emphasizes the importance of a student-centered classroom. As a reflective practitioner, I will take time at the end of each day to assess what adjustments I might need to implement for the following day. Additionally, I plan to collaborate with my colleagues to seek support in areas where I can enhance my students’ learning experiences, ensuring they have the best opportunities for growth.
  • 09: I deeply value collaboration with families, colleagues, and community members, recognizing that each individual contributes significantly to our students’ success. While I may not have extensively covered this topic in my paper, it is a vital aspect of my teaching philosophy.
